The afternoon of one of the hottest days of the summer – and I mean hot, like 95 degrees – was the day of Tina and Marco’s wedding. It was important for the Detroit couple to have a Detroit wedding, so they exchanged their vows in the garden at The Belle Isle Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory. The beautiful conservatory, built in 1904, was designed by Albert Kahn and modeled after Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Tina’s gorgeous vintage headpiece was originally sold at the Hudson’s department store, formerly in downtown Detroit – another cool Detroit touch. Cliff Bell’s, the elegant music and dinner club in downtown Detroit was the perfect location for the music loving couple’s reception and dinner. Tina and Marco made mixtapes which served as place cards while a lively mix of Motown and soul music filled the dance floor all night long.
